Description

In her youth, Lilia trained in fencing at the same hall as Paul; it was there that the teenage Paul assaulted her. Later, on learning that Paul was looking for a maid, she took service in his household — partly mindful of that incident. For six years she ran the Greyrat household in Buena Village flawlessly.

Appearance

A neat woman in a maid's dress, with a full figure and a usually impassive, reserved face. She showed almost no feeling — even when she wept, her face stayed calm and only the tears rolled from her eyes.

Personality

Diligent and disciplined: she sent almost all of her wages to her parents and never left the house outside of work. Outwardly cold and reserved, she was capable of deep loyalty and a sense of duty — at the family council she calmly took responsibility for the pregnancy, ready to leave the household.

After Rudeus saved her and her child, her attitude toward him changed to an almost excessive deference. She became grateful to him for life and resolved to raise her daughter Aisha so that she would one day serve Rudeus.

Story

During Zenith's pregnancy, seeing Paul pining without his wife, Lilia became involved with him and herself became pregnant. At the family council she calmly confessed and intended to give birth and raise the child in her homeland. Rudeus, in her debt (she knew of his hiding place and kept silent, and looked after him), cunningly shifted all the blame onto Paul, and Zenith kept Lilia in the family. Lilia gave birth to her daughter Aisha on the same day as Norn.

Having vowed to repay Rudeus, Lilia impressed upon Aisha from an early age that she would serve her half-brother, and taught her everything she knew. After the Teleport Incident, Lilia was cast onto Begaritt; Rudeus, following the Man-God's hint, saved her and Aisha from a trap, and at their parting received from her things dear to him — Sylphiette's wooden charm and Roxy's underwear.

Later, Lilia again took up residence in Rudeus's house in Sharia, keeping house together with her daughter Aisha. In old age her lower back and neck pains worsened, which even healing magic could not entirely relieve. In the Asura Kingdom reference work she is listed as Paul's maid and concubine.

Trivia

It was Lilia who once found Rudeus's "Sacred Object" — Roxy's underwear on the altar — and told no one, earning his eternal gratitude.

In the source translation text her name also appears in the spelling "Lillia."

Although at first she avoided Rudeus, finding him creepy, it was his deed at the family council that turned her into the household's most devoted servant to him.
