Description

In the decisive battle of the Laplace War it was the Asura Kingdom that committed its full might to halt the Demon God. As the last surviving human state at that time, it became humanity's bastion. Asura's palace life is steeped in intrigue: the harem is served by Imperial Maids able to take up the sword for their mistress, and a fierce struggle is waged over the throne.

This succession struggle erupts into outright war, drawing in Rudeus: on Orsted's orders he helps the second princess Ariel Anemoi Asura claim the throne, clashing at court with the shadow of the Man-God.

Geography

The Asura Kingdom holds the west of the Central Continent and wields the greatest state power in all the world. Its lands are fertile and rich in natural resources — the soil never exhausts, and hunger is unknown here. Asura has paved its whole territory, edge to edge, with stone-laid highways — a luxury other countries lack even near their capitals.

The country is divided into the royal domain with its densely populated capital and many lords' holdings: Fittoa in the northeast (Aslan wheat and batiras flowers), Milbotts (Notos wine), Donati (sugar, and arms and armor for northerners) and Uishm — the southern gateway for merchants.

Fittoa and House Greyrat

Among Asura's holdings, Fittoa in the northeast holds a special place — Rudeus's homeland, devastated by the Teleport Incident. The noble House Greyrat serves the kingdom: the Boreas branch ruled Fittoa from the fortress-city of Roa, while Rudeus himself belongs to the Notos branch. Asura's wealth shows even in coin: one Asuran gold piece equals roughly 100,000 yen, while a Demon Continent stone coin is worth only one.
