Drills the Battle Power skills alongside Patt and runs Lorist's personal escort during the river crossings and the Tverdynya campaign.

Quick and dependable. The senior of Lorist's apprentices — the juniors turn to him for guidance in Combat Force, and he is held up as a model of diligence.

One of Lorist's earliest companions, with him already in Morant in the Dawn Academy days. By chs 40-41 he is at hand: Lorist sends him to hitch the carriage and fetch Sedekamp and Patt from the docks, get them washed and decently clothed.

He drills Combat Force with Patt and commands Lorist's personal escort at the river crossings and in the siege campaigns. As senior apprentice he passes the master's basics and teachings down to the juniors — Schwarz, and later Genolio.

He stays with Lorist into the latest arcs: he accompanies him on tours of the production bases (ch 491), and in ch 490, after Steward Hansek's rebellion is crushed, it is Redi who unrolls the scroll and reads out the conspirators' names as the guards drag them from the crowd.
