Description
Munieka Eldorado is a Rank-I (Class I) explorer bearing the epithet "Autodoll" (オートドール), so named because every Relic she possesses is of the automatic type and because her cold, flawless beauty resembles a precisely made doll. She is an Edda — one of the noble races — hailing from the Eldorado family, one of the six great Edda houses. Though Edda are invariably nobility and it is somehow problematic for one to serve as a maid, Munieka disguises herself: she uses a legendary hair ornament to change her naturally purple eyes to blue (or silver) and dresses immaculately in a black-and-white maid uniform without a single wrinkle. She first appears in chapter 164 in the maid's role, attending the Kuunhunt operative Leold during the raid on the Arclab facility, where she is icy, sharp-tongued, and pointedly sides with the women against Leold. From the start she carries herself as the peak of the "cool" archetype: a rin-to-shita, over-refined face, tall and strikingly built, speaking of herself with the humble pronoun 'watakushi-me' ('this humble one').
Munieka's power set is entirely 'auto' Relics — [Auto Battle Mode] (her body fights automatically), [Auto Maid Mode] (she performs maid work automatically), [Auto Dance Mode], and above all [Auto Move], the evolved, no-longer-unconscious successor to the [Silent Move] she once carried. This makes her uniquely suited to train Wof, whose own troublesome unconscious Relic [Silent Move] mirrors her past; the witch sends her as Wof's bodyguard and instructor (ch. 188), and she becomes his combat teacher, drilling him against her Minos Dolls. She commands the Minos Doll Maid Corps — eight combat maids generated by an 'Oreparts' finite-proliferation core system built by Haiyaan to her specifications, each modeled on Munieka herself at a different age (including the talking Shardina and the gentle Annakreutze). As a Minos unit her dolls range in threat from silver up to gold rank. She also possesses an Elixir and revives Wof after he collapses in training.
Over the story Munieka's frozen exterior thaws entirely around Wof. She takes to calling him 'Master' (Goshujin-sama), and privately 'Danna-sama' ('my lord/husband'), to the visible irritation of others, and delights in teasing the flustered boy. In chapter 262 Wof gives her one of his handmade friendship bracelets and, more movingly, a silver antique pocket watch he recovered from a dungeon ruin — an heirloom identical to the one passed down the Eldorado women, once given by a distant ancestor, Runierika Eldorado, whom Wof had encountered and freed as the sealed monster core 'Death Abstract.' She thanks him on behalf of the whole Eldorado house for saving her ancestor's soul and gives him her own pocket watch in return, kissing his forehead. In chapter 275 (titled 'Tsukaeshi ⑤ · Munieka') the two lay bare their innermost selves — she reveals she too once bore the Relic [Generous] and shares the 'dark period' of her youth — and formally bind themselves in a master–servant relationship, after which she settles into a room in the witch's house as a fixture of Wof's household.
In personality she is calm, deadpan, meticulous to a fault, and outwardly emotionless — a 'human doll' — yet fiercely protective of women and, beneath the mask, warm, playful, and deeply loyal. She is on old, prickly terms ('kusare-en') with the witch and even knows the witch's true name, and she recognizes fellow Rank-I explorer Alverd von Rootbelt as 'the same type' as herself, being the one who first flags the wrongness of his botched abduction attempt on Wof. Her favorite foods are cheesecake, tiramisu, and the Cidre Tavern's steak set.
