Shardina

Shardina is the very first Minosdoll ever produced by the maid Munieka — an artificial combat-doll whose body is based on Munieka's own appearance at around twenty-one years old ("four years ago," during what Munieka calls her wandering, dark period). She has pale white skin (the result of an early setup error; every Minosdoll after her was given blue skin instead), long golden hair, a pair of blue ox-like horns, and wears the same black-and-white maid uniform as her creator. Because Minosdolls are grown from base 'Minos Units' that carry only an identification signature and a hostile-action command, they are supposed to be blank tools with no emotions — yet Shardina is the glaring exception.

Wof first meets her during his training under Munieka in the Witch's laboratory, where Minosdolls are summoned as sparring partners for him to defeat with his relics. Shardina alone keeps her eyes open after being 'killed,' glaring at Wof with something that looks like resentment but is really wounded pride: she resents losing to him again and again. After she grows genuinely frightening, Wof orders her 'banned' from being summoned — only for her to manifest on her own, against all the rules, driven by a will the system was never meant to allow. Using his (Silent One) mind-reading relic, Wof discovers she can only 'speak' telepathically, in a blunt katakana-inflected voice, and that he — not Munieka — holds Master authority over her, with Munieka merely the sub-master.

The turning point comes when Wof challenges her to endure his devastating (Vanish) relic; it erases her completely, but the Minosdoll core system regenerates her, and she bursts into tears and pummels him, vowing she'll win next time. From that clash grows a real bond. Shardina and her fellow Menosdolls choose of their own accord to serve Wof, forming the 'Munieka Maid Squad,' and she becomes a capable frontline fighter, wielding a cutlass with skill she seems to have inherited from Munieka's memories. Wof later gives her a duplicated Relic Plate that copies two of his relics into her, cementing her as an armed retainer.

In personality she is proud, competitive, and easily sulks, but also childlike and expressive — her eyes sparkle when she's excited, and Wof finds her endearing despite the uncanny fact that her face is Munieka's. As the story goes on she settles into daily life at Wof's dungeon as a loyal maid and combatant, frequently paired with the more grown-up, alluring Minosdoll Annakreutze, the two of them nursing Wof when he falls ill and standing among his close household.
