Daughter of Knight Bodfinger

Description

Bright, single-minded, ruthless at Monster Chess — she rolls back her own bad moves the moment the dice land and Lorist lets her.

Personality

Bright, stubborn and childishly ruthless at the gaming table. At Monster Chess she rolls back any bad move the instant the dice land — and "Uncle Locke" lets her. Yet she is sensitive and well-mannered: seeing that Lorist has important business, she tidies away the board and pieces herself so as not to be in the way.

Background

The young daughter of Knight Bodfinger and Farea; she grows up with the family convoy and in the Norton manors alongside her brother Schwarz, who became Lorist's apprentice.

Story

Over the long winter (ch 161) she pesters Lorist with Monster Chess — a board game from Galentya, a sort of race-and-score game with a red dragon as the final boss. Lorist, starved for company, gladly indulges the children and will not let Bodfinger and Farea shoo them away.

As she grows she becomes a lively handful: in ch 198 she takes the Zeno brothers and goes off with Lady Tressi into the Edge Mountains to scout a build site, and so misses the gatherings at Lorist's.
