The Battle of Bruvia, Independence, and the Empire Reborn
Description
In the decisive battle at Bruvia on the Mana Hill Plains, the Alliance's three-hundred-thousand-strong army is broken by Norton gunpowder and artillery with half its numbers. On Little Lone Mountain, Lorist and the old Sword Saint of the Storm, instead of a death-duel, chat amiably while the battle is decided. The shattered Alliance capitulates.
Lorist breaks the Alliance by helping the Qikede (Chigeda) Trading Company secede and proclaim an independent Chigeda Kingdom. Old Morant becomes the Free Alliance. The Second Prince (Ogsero) formally restores the Krisen Empire and crowns himself emperor — but his 'finance minister', Marquis Krilos, proves to be a disguised former Alliance envoy biding his time for revenge. House Norton, now a sea-mastering duchy, returns home to peace.
