Synopsis
Ten years after the Gates connecting Earth to monster-filled worlds first appeared, awakened humans called Hunters have organized the fight. But not all Hunters are strong, and Sung Jin-Woo — an E-rank known as «Humanity's Weakest» — is the perfect example, scraping by on the medical subsidy that keeps his mother alive.
When a routine raid stumbles onto a hidden double dungeon, Jin-Woo is the only survivor. Before death takes him, a System appears in his vision and offers him a player's privilege: quests, stats, level-up. Knowing this is his last chance, he accepts.
From there it is one closed door at a time — the Cartenon Temple, the Demon Castle, Jeju Island. Step by step, the System's Architect leads him toward the shadow he was always meant to inherit: the throne of the Shadow Monarch, and the war between Rulers and Monarchs that the rest of humanity barely understands.
