Go Gun-Hee

Go Gun-Hee is the Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association, one of only a handful of National-Level Hunters, and an S-rank awakened. He stands as the most influential figure in Korean Hunter society and the last great Hunter of the old generation.

Over decades, Go Gun-Hee almost single-handedly built the modern Korean Hunter system — establishing the Association's authority, structuring the rank system, and negotiating with the Guilds and the government. Though his body is frail at over eighty years of age, his authority and wisdom remain unmatched.

Unknown to most, Go Gun-Hee serves as the vessel of the Ruler of Light, one of the ancient beings who remember the war the Monarchs have been waging across worlds. This connection grants him fragments of divine power and a deep, hidden understanding of the supernatural conflict approaching Earth.

He is among the very few who recognise what Sung Jin-Woo truly is — not merely a reawakened Hunter, but the Player chosen by the System, destined to walk the Architect's path. Rather than exposing him, Go Gun-Hee quietly steers events from behind the scenes, protecting him and preparing him for the role humanity needs him to fill.

His life ends in sacrifice when the Frost Monarch invades his office to hunt the last Ruler shards. Despite his failing body, Go Gun-Hee fights to the death — burning the last of his life force to shatter the dimensional barrier, allowing Jin-Woo's shadow ant soldier to escape with the Monarch's location. He dies as he lived: a guardian of humanity.
