Description
The original Demon King fell to Frey's ancestor a thousand years ago; in the previous timeline Frey slew the current one to seize the System. The Hero's secret prophecy warns that on the thousandth anniversary of the Demon King's death, his heir will appear to devour the world.
The endgame's great reversal is that the roles are personal: Frey Raon Starlight is the true Hero, and Ruby is the Demon King — a truth that shatters the Hero Party's certainties and binds the two lovers to opposite ends of the prophecy.
