Warlock in the World of Wizards
Description
The Werecreatures are a dominant, violent and deeply corrupted race of the northern regions in the World of Gods. They are bound directly to Malar, the God of the Hunt, serving as his primary mortal worshippers and fuelling his power through blood rituals. Their forms range from wolf- and bear-types to more monstrous variations depending on tribe and bloodline, and the strongest rival knight captains or wizards in raw strength.
They live by predation, hunting human settlements and noble lands, and rarely negotiate — preferring to attack and overwhelm. Their gifts include superhuman physique, rapid regeneration, Malar's blessing granted through sacrifice, and skill at ambush and swarm tactics. The Blackblood Tribe is among the most prominent in Arc 5, its ceremonies built on mass blood sacrifice.
During the northern crisis the Werecreatures raid baronial lands, besiege castles — nearly breaking Baron Andrew's before Leylin intervenes — and cooperate with orcish tribes, escalating their Malar-fuelled rituals into catastrophes that inflict massive casualties. Their bitterest enemies are the human nobles of the north and the paladins of Tyr's Church of Justice, whose holy power counters their regeneration.
