Melinda

Melinda is a volatile and enigmatic sorceress who appears in Leylin's circle during chapters 630-657. In their first encounter she presents herself with an ostensibly frivolous attitude: fingers stained with ice cream, a sweet and youthful voice, and the declaration that she is nothing more than the "half-teacher" of the mischievous youngster Jesiah. Behind that carefree mask hides a figure of considerable power and influence: alongside her companion Wade, she roams the world gathering unique cosmic artifacts, among them fragments of the Fire Phoenix Egg, reaching treasures inaccessible to ordinary seekers. Her appearance forces Leylin to consult Chip immediately for historical information, underscoring both her notoriety and her danger. Melinda shifts fluidly between a jesting tone and serious intentions, masking her calculated maneuvers with apologies about "coincidences" and generous gifts sent through the Star Gates directly to Leylin's Star Lab.
