He served as the Second Forefather of the Precious Tree Sect, having previously been the Spirit King Protector of the Skylaurel Kingdom. He allied with Jiang Chen and Thousandleaf, took in Dan Fei as an adoptive granddaughter, and taught disciples including Ye Dai, Ye Qiao, Ye Zheng, Ye Rong, and Ye Hao.
