Description
Jisan Prison is a maximum-security correctional facility situated in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Its construction was spearheaded by the Korean Hunters Association under the leadership of Chairman Woo Jinchul, who recognized the inadequacy of conventional prisons for holding Hunters and other awakened criminals.
The prison was specifically engineered to neutralize supernatural threats. It features mana-suppressing cells, reinforced walls capable of withstanding high-level attacks, and a layout designed to prevent escapes by individuals with enhanced strength, speed, or magical abilities.
Among its most infamous inmates was Kang Taeshik, an A-rank Hunter sentenced for a string of brutal murders. His case highlighted the urgent need for such a facility, as no standard prison could hope to contain a person of his caliber.
Jisan Prison played a role in the investigation conducted by Sung Jin-Woo, who visited the facility to interrogate Kang Taeshik regarding the identity of a dangerous enemy. This visit underscored the prison's function as a secure interrogation site for high-priority cases.
The establishment of Jisan Prison marked a turning point in the Korean Hunters Association's approach to law enforcement, proving that even individuals with world-altering powers could be held accountable within a structured legal system.
