Gabiru
Description
Gabiru is a majin in Rimuru's service, captain of Tempest's aerial Hiryuu force, a member of the Twelve Guardian Lords, and head of the Federation's research department, where he helps produce Hipokute-herb potions.
Once a green, two-horned lizardman and later a purple-scaled dragonewt, Gabiru began as an overconfident warrior — the only named fighter of his tribe — with a badly inflated ego fed by his yes-men followers. Beneath the bluster lie genuine bravery, a natural leader's instincts, and real intelligence, with a firm grasp of magical and scientific theory.
Manipulated by the majin Gelmud and the trickster Laplace into seizing leadership from his aging father, Gabiru led his people into disaster against the Orc Lord. Humbled and exiled, he took full blame and offered his life; taken in by Rimuru, he matured into a knightly, level-headed dragonewt who befriended the researcher Vesta.
