Marie Fou Lafan

Marie Fou Lafan is the second reincarnator in the story. In her previous life she was the older sister who handed Leon the controller and made him clear the otome game for her, and she died convinced that the game's harem ending was the height of romantic justice. She is reborn as the unloved youngest daughter of an impoverished baronial branch and decides, with great seriousness, that the heroine's slot is hers by right.

Petite, blonde, with theatrical doll-eyes, Marie is calculating, self-pitying, and unshakably convinced that the universe owes her. Armed with game knowledge she peels each of the five capture targets away from their fiancées — Julius from Angelica especially — and assembles her own shabby harem of disgraced ex-nobles. The moment Leon hears about her she becomes his single most predictable headache.

Their reunion is one of the funniest beats of the series: brother and sister recognising each other across two lives in the middle of a public scandal. Over the course of the arcs Marie's plan collapses, her five 'idiots' lose their titles and most of their income, and she is ultimately taken into Leon's household — first as a dependent, then as a co-wife. She remains greedy, dramatic and impossible, but also one of the few people in the world who has known Leon all the way through.
