Kishirika Kishirisu

Kishirika Kishirisu is the Great Empress (Emperor) of the Demon World, an immortal sovereign whose name entered the history of the Human–Demon Wars. It is, in essence, a hereditarily recurring title: an immortal Demon Emperor, after perishing, is reborn roughly a thousand years later, and because he stood head and shoulders above the other Demon Emperors, he is called by this name. During the Second Human–Demon War the demons rose precisely under her banner.

Her seat of power was once the Old Castle of Kilis in the northeast of the Demon Continent, destroyed in the campaign against Laplace. She is the sister of Badigadi, the Battle God; they live in the same era thanks to events more than four thousand years past.

Despite her fearsome title, Kishirika looks like a little girl with purple hair, dressed in a revealing “bandage” outfit. Her distinctive trait is her maniacal laughter. From her name alone, Rudeus at first even concluded that the Emperor of the Demon World was a woman.

Kishirika is a scatterbrained, eccentric, booming figure with the airs of a great sovereign and a habit of roaring laughter. Behind the mask of a capricious girl-empress hides an ancient, mighty being who was friends with the demon lords.

She is willful, but not malicious; her favor turns out, for the heroes, into priceless gifts.

Kishirika is known above all as a bestower of Demon Eyes. It is she who grants Rudeus his Demon Eye, and later, in Perugius's fortress, she bestows on Cliff Grimoire the Demon Eye of Identification, which at first he cannot control.

She is sought out even later: Rudeus leaves a request at the Adventurers' Guild for her whereabouts, with a description — “a little girl, purple hair, a bandage outfit, introduces herself as the Great Emperor of the World, maniacal laughter.”

Her word carries weight even in the finale: when Orsted defeats her brother, the Battle God Badigadi, it is Kishirika's plea “do not kill him” that decides his fate — Badigadi is sealed rather than executed.

Kishirika is immortal: having perished, she is reborn roughly a thousand years later, which is why her title passes on as if by inheritance. Her chief gift is the ability to bestow Demon Eyes of various kinds on others: the Demon Eye of Foresight, the Demon Eye of Identification, and others that unlock special powers for their bearer.

As the Great Empress of the Demon World she is a figure of colossal authority: her requests and decisions carry weight even for the world's mightiest beings.
