Isolet is the professor in charge of Class A in the first year and a Main Heroine: described as the academy's only true professor, 'its hope and last conscience.' Turning down grander offers, she chose the professorship, and regards Frey with an icy gaze.
Her defining flaw and virtue are the same — she is a staunch, unbending advocate of principle, which repeatedly puts her at odds with Frey's methods.
