If it is to the benefit of his kingdom, King Clayde can be very kind, as he was with Linley, even to the point where he did not want to act as subject and king between the two of them.
King Clayde was the mastermind behind the kidnapping of Linley's mother, Lina Baruch, whom he allowed his brother Patterson to abduct after she gave birth to Wharton.
