Hogg Baruch
Description
Hogg Baruch is the patriarch of the Baruch Clan and governor of the humble Wushan Town, and the father of Linley and Wharton. A Rank 6 warrior of limited talent, he is nonetheless proud and carries the noble, domineering bearing of the clan's heir, close friends with the guard captain Hillman.
On the day his younger son Wharton was born, his wife Lina was kidnapped, plunging Hogg into despair until Hillman coaxed him back for the sake of his boys. He devoted himself — and even sacrificed his noble comforts — to funding his sons' education, believing in their potential to restore the clan, and wept with joy when Linley was accepted to the Ernst Institute.
Hogg's limited grasp of the world's true power hierarchy led him to investigate his wife's kidnapping, and in the year 9999 he died from wounds inflicted while pursuing the truth. His death marks Linley's final break with the Radiant Church. Thousands of years later, through Linley's efforts, Hogg is revived from the Netherworld and reunited with his family.
