Feril

Feril is a young lady of the comital House of Everett on the western frontier, the 'little sister' and ward of Reina. In her past life she was Sonomura Yuko, an office worker of about forty, and—most importantly—the author of the very web novel 'The Crown and the Chastity Cage', that is, the 'creator' of this world. Her memories returned to her at the age of ten. She has silvery hair and red, ruby eyes (green-turquoise hues from elven blood are also occasionally noted), a slender build, and a green dress.

Feril is the great-granddaughter of the elven priestess Silfaria and the bearer of the composite primordial spirit Amon, whom she affectionately calls 'Koma-chan' (a komainu). Because of her reincarnation, Silfaria's seal broke ahead of schedule, which made Feril a potential new 'cornerstone'—that is, a sacrifice—for the World Tree.

She learns spirit magic under the tutelage of the elf Mari and masters all four elements. At the decisive moment Feril gave half of Amon's power to Varis as a source of strength to save Reina. She is called the story's 'true cheat'—for she is the author of the world.

In the finale Feril officially becomes the second queen of Alveria (an exception, since the kingdom has no institution of concubines), and her very existence is kept secret from the other powers.

Feril studies spirit magic, a system requiring an innate gift (most often in elves and dwarves) that borrows mana from elemental spirits. Under Mari's guidance she mastered all four elements. Her defining trait is that she bears the primordial composite spirit Amon, an infinite source that amplifies all spirit power; half of this might she transferred to Varis. As the author of the source world, she possesses unique meta-knowledge of the plot—the story's 'true cheat'.
