Kim Gong-ja

Kim Gong-ja (김공자) is the main protagonist of SSS-Class Suicide Hunter. An orphan and lowly F-rank hunter, he spent his days consumed by self-loathing and envy of celebrated "main character" hunters like the Flame Emperor, Yoo Soo-Ha. His obsessive jealousy drew the Tower's attention, which granted him the S+ skill "I Want to Be Like You!"—the power to copy another's skill, but only by dying first.

After witnessing Yoo Soo-Ha murder the Saintess and being killed to bury the secret, Kim Gong-ja's skill copied his enemy's hidden regression ability, sending him back in time. Lacking the strength for revenge, he killed himself over 4,000 times to regress eleven years into the past, to a point before his enemy gained regression, determined to end him permanently.

Though he begins driven by a hunger for fame and recognition, repeated regressions reshape him. Witnessing the suffering of others in the Tower, the shrewd and shameless Gong-ja develops a fierce protectiveness, striving to save people even when they will never remember his efforts. He eventually becomes a Constellation and one of the pillars of the Tower.
