Ma Hongjun, affectionately called 'Fatty', is the fire-attack powerhouse of the Shrek Seven Devils. Discovered by Flender for his rare martial soul — the Evil Fire Phoenix, which later evolves into the Fire Phoenix — he was recruited to Shrek Academy as a boy and became Flender's disciple.
Owing to the nature of his phoenix spirit he was at first crude and lecherous, blunt and prone to speaking his mind, but he grows steadily more serious and dependable, shedding much of his vulgarity as the story advances.
His blazing phoenix flames give the team overwhelming offensive power, and a precious gift from Tang San later pushes his martial soul toward its higher, multi-headed phoenix forms.
