Ceto

Ceto is one of Olympus's oldest sea goddesses, the Primordial Sea Goddess of the Deep. As the 'Mother of Sea Monsters' she gave birth to countless sea monsters and Sea Monster Kings, granting her divine command over them, along with unique authorities no other sea god holds—even reading the memories of the sea. Her power so exceeds even Poseidon's in this domain that he covets her holiness.

Little is shown of her personality beyond her deep care for her apostle Lana; enraged when Poseidon's apostle killed Lana, she gives Cha Yeon-woo a quest and lavish divine power to avenge her, transforming a necklace Jeong-woo had made for Lana into her holy artifact—the 'Sea Water Charm'—which grants Yeon-woo authorities like King of the Sea, Song of the Sea and Tannin Fear.
