Timothy Wimbledon is the second prince of Graycastle who, during the succession struggle, seizes the King's City and proclaims himself King. Confident, charismatic and cunning, he is reckoned one of the most intelligent of the king's children, second only to Tilly.
Long seen as the presumed heir, he grew arrogant and cruel, frequently tormenting his younger brother Roland. After his father's shocking death he turns paranoid, launching a brutal witch hunt across the capital. He is the primary antagonist of the second volume.
Yet Timothy is not wholly corrupt: he rewards loyalty and competence and can forgive an honest failure. His sharp mind lets him glimpse the Church's schemes before most others — though he never realizes the Church is using him for its own ends.
