Lightning

Lightning is a young witch from the Fjords, daughter of a famed explorer, raised by the adventurer Margaret Farman after her mother died. She joined the Witch Cooperation Association but left it to help Nightingale reach Border Town.

Her magic grants her flight and great speed, making her Border Town's foremost aerial scout and messenger; she founds the Neverwinter Exploration Group. She signs on with Roland partly for the chance to test his new inventions.

The most uninhibited of the Union's witches, Lightning is a born adventurer — curious, blunt and eager to see every new place, though her recklessness often lands her in danger. She is close friends with the bird-transforming witch Maggie and the warrior Ashes.
