Julius Juukulius is the knight of Royal Selection candidate Anastasia Hoshin and a member of the Royal Guard. Respected across the knightly order, he is known as the "Finest of Knights".
A tall, well-built young man with light-purple hair and yellow eyes, Julius carries himself with the poise and conviction of nobility. Considerate yet strict, he gives frank assessments of others and is something of a history buff — while beneath his composed exterior lies a deeply insecure man who clings to his bonds after losing his parents young.
Born a commoner, he was adopted into House Juukulius by his uncle after his parents' deaths and rose to become Anastasia's knight. As a spirit knight he fights alongside quasi-spirits. His early clash with Subaru at the Royal Selection Ceremony — a public duel meant to spare Subaru's life — marks the start of their complicated bond.
