Ira=Takuto, usually called simply Takuto, is the narrator and protagonist. In his previous life he was Takahiro Ooyama, a youth bound to a hospital bed by an incurable disease, whose one solace in his final years was the dark nation-building strategy game 'Eternal Nations.' He dies quietly, without regret, and awakens in the forest of another world inside the very black god-ruler he used to play: the head of the evil civilization of ruin, Mynoghra.
The first being he sees is Atou, his favorite heroine from his favorite game, bowing before him and calling him king. From that moment Takuto resolves to be worthy of her devotion. Outwardly he appears as a dark deity, lacquer-black and staff in hand, radiating otherworldly dread; inwardly he remains an ordinary young man whose game knowledge has suddenly gained real weight.
Gentle and unexpectedly merciful by nature, he nonetheless commands the full might of an eschatological realm of darkness. Drawing on his memory of the game's mechanics, on the faithful Atou, and on the subjects who gather around him, Takuto builds an evil dominion of shadow from nothing, aiming to bring the whole world under his rule.
From the hospital ward to the game world
An incurable disease took nearly all of Takahiro's life, leaving him only the game. Reborn as the dark god of Mynoghra, he gains a healthy body and a world shaped by the rules of 'Eternal Nations,' where his years of play become a treasure map in a ruler's hands.
