Gil (ギル) is a gray priest of the Ehrenfest temple who becomes one of Myne's attendants, with special responsibility for the orphanage's printing workshop. He has short blond hair and dark-purple eyes; Myne's first impression is that he looks like 'a little punk.'
Gil grew up in the temple orphanage and was, at first, a sharp-tongued troublemaker who neglected his duties and spent much of his time in the repentance chamber. He agreed to serve the apprentice shrine maiden Myne mostly for the better food — but once he learned that hard work would be rewarded, he became cheerful, enthusiastic, and tireless.
Beneath the mischief, Gil has a very kind heart: he was the first to beg Myne to improve conditions in the orphanage and personally carried food and supplies to the orphans. He values her praise highly and works hard to live up to her expectations, growing into a dependable manager of her workshop.
