Wizard of the World of Mages

Silverymoon is the wizards' city of the northern region in the World of Gods, a prestigious centre of arcane learning, magical governance and military power. It forms the core of the Silverymoon Alliance, a coalition of nobles and organisations united against orcish expansion and werecreature incursions.

The city is governed largely by its high-ranked wizards; to become a rank-15 wizard within its structure one must sign a binding magical contract of loyalty that guards against treason among the elite. Its military appoints commanders through official channels, and both the officer Cassley and Leylin serve within its ranks.

During Arc 5 Silverymoon suffers a catastrophic siege as roughly a hundred thousand elite orcs encircle it in a calculated offensive. Promised reinforcements never come, commanders retreat, and figures like Cassley sabotage its supply lines; the resulting panic and its inability to hold the orcs back become the spark that destroys the northern political order and shapes the desperate decisions of nobles and of Leylin himself.
