【Sacrificial Magical Array complete! Please select the sacrifice target!】

On the Chip's screen, several strange symbols emerged. These symbols seemed to transcend three-dimensional imagery, carrying a bizarre sense of ancient history, suffused with the aura of power and law.

Leilin regarded the symbols in silence.

The Chip had provided a total of seven runes, each corresponding to a Supreme being on one of the seven continents of the Purgatory World. Among them, a few bore designs that Leilin knew all too well.

A vertical-eye rune, a serpentine twisted rune, and finally, a rune depicting a great bird spreading its wings.

"The Eye of Judgment! The Mother of Ten Thousand Serpents! And the Foul Bird!" Leilin murmured, voicing the identities of the three symbols one by one. Of these three Supremes, he had interacted with none more deeply — though none of those encounters had been particularly pleasant.

"Target of sacrifice selected: the Foul Bird!"

Leilin reached out and tapped the rune shaped like the great bird with outstretched wings.

Hummm! Almost instantly, at the very center of the sacrificial array — the most critical empty position — the great bird rune materialized.

A foul yet chaotic force seemed to pierce through barriers, arriving here through some unknown channel that transcended physical space.

Wisps of grey mist coiled ceaselessly over the array, carrying faint, high-pitched cries.

Seeing this, even under heavy layers of seals, Belcrack reacted with a slight tremor — clearly, he had foreseen his fate.

Being sacrificed, and especially being sacrificed to the archenemy of the Eye of Judgment, was obviously something a devout believer like him could never accept.

Unfortunately, whether in Leilin's previous life or in the Wizard World, no one cared to listen to the barking of the defeated.

"Great Lord of Chaos, Wings of Fluctuation, the free will that soars across countless dimensions! I, Leilin Farell, humbly call upon your descent…"

Complex and guttural sacrificial incantations flowed ceaselessly from Leilin's throat, carrying subtle fluctuations of soul force.

Driven by the power of his True Spirit, these incantations acted like some arcane key, unlocking a vast, invisible gate.

Rumble!

The entire sacrificial array roared to life. The great bird rune became vivid and lifelike, emitting a piercing cry.

Massive amounts of grey light condensed, space itself subtly warped, and at last, reaching its breaking point, it exploded outward.

Whoosh! A burst of grey flame erupted from the center of the array.

"Great Supreme! Lord Foul Bird! Please accept my offering!" Leilin's eyes were cold and detached as the Evil Eye on the ground was drawn toward the center of the array by invisible threads.

Rumble! The small grey flame expanded violently, engulfing the entire Evil Eye.

"Aaah… I curse you… curse you…"

Within the grey flames, the colossal Evil Eye began to melt like a wax figure, the corrosive fire eating directly into the true spirit. At Leilin's ear, he could hear Belcrack's dying curse.

But none of this caused the slightest ripple in his expression. Leilin's gaze remained fixed intently on the sacrificial process, making adjustments as needed.

Obviously, for any foreign being just beginning to learn the ways of sacrifice, a fifth-rank powerhouse would be an almost impossibly valuable offering — let alone an Evil Eye elder who served as a fifth-rank celebrant of the Eye of Judgment.

And the sacrificial magical array he had purchased at Iaas Port was, of course, nothing particularly high-end. While sufficient for a fourth-rank celebrant, it was now showing its limitations.

As the Evil Eye elder melted further, terrifying energy overflowed from the liquefied remains, causing the entire sacrificial array to groan under the strain.

"Really…" Leilin shook his head in speechless exasperation, channeling his own True Spirit power to forcibly reinforce the array.

"Chirp chirp~~~ chirp chirp~~~"

When the Evil Eye had melted more than halfway, this high-level sacrifice finally attracted the attention of some law-bound existence dwelling in the invisible beyond.

Alongside the piercing cries, the runes Leilin had inscribed on the surrounding walls began to flash violently, with some shattering entirely. Then the sacrificial array blazed with blinding radiance.

The grey flames turned scarlet in an instant, and the Evil Eye elder's screams shot up several octaves.

Boom! The blood-red flames swallowed the fifth-rank celebrant, Evil Eye elder Belcrack, in the blink of an eye. Massive quantities of liquefied essence concentrated into a mass, writhing and distorting under the scorching heat of the crimson fire, until at last they took the shape of a nimble grey bird.

"I greet the great Wings of Fluctuation! Lord Foul Bird!"

This was clearly an avatar of the Foul Bird descending. Leilin immediately bowed in reverence.

The grey bird's eyes were vacant at first, then quickly became occupied by a conscious will. It regarded Leilin, a distinct hint of amusement flickering in its gaze.
