Chapter 580: Constitution Bottleneck

"As for the technique — the Fire Feather Technique, after its transformation, is probably comparable to a top-tier Meditation Method…"

Leilin Farell silently examined the singularity within his sea of consciousness. After devouring the essence of the Fire Feather Technique, the singularity had not only grown terrifyingly denser, its surrounding nebula had expanded by half, but it now radiated an eerie dark glow tinged with hints of fiery red.

Having obtained the Fire Feather Technique, his constitution had shifted slightly from its previous state of being dominated by Shadow elemental affinity with Fire elemental affinity as a secondary trait. His Fire affinity had risen — it hadn't yet caught up to his Shadow affinity, but the two were clearly trending toward balance.

"Could it be that my Comoin's Eye Meditation Method can no longer be considered a Meditation Method exclusive to Comoin Giant Serpent Warlocks? Instead, it's become a top-tier Meditation Method after incorporating the Fire Feather Technique!"

Leilin would never practice the Fire Feather Technique as a separate discipline. His foundation was still as a , still on the path of a Bloodline Warlock. So when the Chip had run its computations, it had fused the essence of the Fire Feather Technique directly into the singularity.

Meanwhile, the Fire Feather Technique's cultivation method had been combined with the Comoin's Eye Meditation Method — merged with the Chip's earlier simulations to produce a slightly mutated Meditation Method!

The effects of this Meditation Method far surpassed the original Comoin's Eye at its fourth stage. It even gave Leilin hope of deducing the fifth stage!

Once the Meditation Method was fully deduced, all he would need to do was solve the bloodline problem, and Leilin could break free of the shackles of a fourth-level bloodline and glimpse the realm of the fifth level — Brilliant Moon!

"Besides, the Comoin's Eye never had a fifth stage to begin with. This Meditation Method, enhanced by the Chip and fused with the Fire Feather Technique — I'll just keep calling it Comoin's Eye!"

Leilin uncreatively stuck with the original name.

However, whether it was the thirteenth or fourteenth layer of the Fire Feather Technique, or the fifth stage of the Meditation Method — all of them belonged to the fifth-level Brilliant Moon realm. Even though Leilin now had a lead, actually completing it would still require a great deal of time.

But even so, it was far better than having no hope at all.

"Beyond the Fire Feather Technique, this time I also recorded vast amounts of data on the Lava World's alien cultures, technology, and geography. The Chip's database is far more complete now — not a bad haul at all!"

Leilin rubbed his chin. With the Chip's advantage, his learning speed left ordinary Wizards in the dust, making him feel right at home in alien worlds. No matter how complex the data, a single scan by the Chip was enough to record everything, and it would quickly analyze and digest it — incomparably faster than Wizards who still had to work through book after book.

This was precisely why he could so rapidly understand the power systems of alien worlds and integrate them into his own framework, forging a unique edge.

"All in all, this trip to the Lava World has been incredibly rewarding — an absolute windfall…" Leilin glanced at his status display.

"Leilin Farell, Warlock. Fourth-level Bloodline: Comoin Giant Serpent (Complete Form). Strength: 50. Agility: 45. Constitution: 65. Spiritual Power: 956.8. Mana: 956 (Mana synchronized with Spiritual Power). Soul Power: ???"

"The minimum Spiritual Power data for a Morning Star Wizard is over 500. And mine is already approaching 1,000! It's just that Soul Power still hasn't been quantified…"

Looking at his stats, a bitter smile crossed Leilin's face.

His gains in the Lava World had been enormous, particularly the several boosts to his Soul Origin that had caused his Soul Power to skyrocket. The Chip couldn't directly quantify Soul Power, but judging from his Spiritual Power alone, the increase was extraordinary.

Soul Power was the sublimation of Spiritual Power. Therefore, the enhancement of his Soul Origin could be reflected through the growth of his Spiritual Power.

"But adding roughly four hundred points of Spiritual Power at once has started to exceed this body's tolerance limit!"

The bitter smile on Leilin's face deepened. The Fire Feather Technique and the Phoenix Egg were both treasures and techniques focused on elemental power — they offered virtually no improvement to physical toughness.

He had gained a massive amount of Spiritual Power in one go, but his body was already beginning to show signs of strain.

It was like having too much water in too small a cup. There were no particularly obvious aftereffects yet, but if he didn't treat it promptly, Leilin would eventually have only one path left — undergoing a Spirit Body Transformation to become a Spirit Body Wizard.

"The most fundamental solution is to strengthen my constitution, so that my body and the surging Spiritual Power can harmonize once and for all!"

Leilin silently commanded, "Chip, based on my current control capacity, what is the minimum Constitution I need for my body to be compatible with my Spiritual Power?"

"Ding! Task established. Scanning subject's data! Constructing model! Deduction in progress…"

The Chip's mechanical voice responded as a blue humanoid projection materialized within Leilin's consciousness. Terrifying waves of Spiritual Power radiated from the model.

"Deduction complete! To fully adapt to current Spiritual Power levels, the subject requires a Constitution of 100 or above!" the Chip reported faithfully.

"A Constitution of 100 or above?" Leilin rubbed his chin.

Since the physical body served as the container for Spiritual Power, Wizards did pay considerable attention to it — there were even specialized secret arts and Body-Tempering Magical Arrays designed for this purpose.

But at Leilin's current level, with an already high Constitution of 65, roughly ninety percent of the body-tempering secret arts on the continent would have no effect on him.

Still, given his broadened perspective and the rich reserves he had accumulated through his adventures, an idea came to him almost immediately.

"Setting aside obscure techniques, the Power of Many Arms is perfectly suited to my current state. At the very least, it can halt the deterioration!"

Leilin rose abruptly and headed to another training room.

Crack! His body twisted into a peculiar rune formation, and strange vibrations rippled through his bones and muscles.

The vibrations gradually combined into a hoarse, chanting voice.

The voice seemed to be reciting some ancient liturgy, steeped in primal archaic gravitas, yet carrying a savage, primal energy within.

"Power of Many Arms!"

"Rraaargh!!!" A shrunken phantom of a six-armed alien suddenly materialized behind Leilin. As the chanting continued, numerous runes emerged from the phantom and sank into Leilin's back.

By the end of the ritual, even the phantom of the Many-Armed Race dimmed and merged into Leilin's back, leaving behind a vivid golden tattoo-like pattern of a Many-Armed being — vivid and lifelike as a living brand.

Golden threads of light scurried beneath Leilin's skin and muscles before quickly subsiding.

Leilin rose and examined his palm.

The skin was pale, the joints slender — seemingly no different from before. But occasionally, a faint golden glimmer flickered across the surface.

His entire body felt as though it had been fitted with a layer of heavy armor — somewhat weighty, but nothing Leilin couldn't handle. More importantly, the sensation of Spiritual Power constantly pressing against his body had, the moment the tattoo was completed, if not vanished entirely, at least diminished dramatically.

Seeing this result, Leilin let out a long breath of relief.

"Though the Power of Many Arms can't increase my Constitution at this stage, its sealing and reinforcing effects are enough to hold the situation steady until I can find more Body-Tempering Magical Arrays or similar resources…"

"Right now, the priority is to deal with the Allied Forces still occupying the Ouroboros Ring's territory. After that, I'll mobilize the full strength of the Ouroboros Ring to search for treasures, potions, or magical arrays that can strengthen my constitution…"

Leilin plotted silently as he walked, arriving outside yet another sealed chamber.

On the massive door, numerous seals formed chains that locked it tight, yet searing heat still radiated outward.

Hummm! A stream of black flame automatically manifested around Leilin, absorbing all the heat.

"Excellent thermal energy! A completely different form from the Phoenix fire!"

"Chip!" Leilin commanded.

"Ding! Authorization granted! Scan approved!" Following the Chip's voice, twin streams of blue data shot from Leilin's eyes, containing millions of golden characters smaller than ants, all flickering past and sinking into the seals.

Crack! Crack!

The rune chains shattered, and terrifying golden flames surged out from behind the door.

"Whoosh!" As if provoked, the black flame around Leilin's body blazed fiercely in response, forming a dark membrane that sealed the door shut.

The gushing golden flames were continuously corroded and devoured by the black fire, which actually grew stronger in the process!

Even Leilin found this eerie phenomenon somewhat alarming.

Stepping inside, he found a vast world of ice and snow. At its very center burned a golden sun that continuously erupted with flames of light. Massive chains of frost runes bound the sun, yet scorching energy still leaked through.

For a moment, blue and gold stood in deadlock.

"A sixth-level Son of the Sun bloodline…" Leilin's gaze grew distant, while the black flame around his body automatically coalesced into the phantom of an eerie black bird. Its blood-red eyes fixed upon the small sun at the center, radiating wariness.

"A pity…" Leilin sighed once more. This was the highest-level bloodline he had ever obtained.

After the Phoenix Egg had shattered, it had automatically transformed into an ultra-dense crystal, with not a trace of bloodline essence remaining. This had even led Leilin to question whether Phoenixes were truly bloodline creatures at all, let alone attempting to extract any ancient bloodline from them.

"I have a feeling that this Son of the Sun bloodline would pair perfectly with the Fire Feather Technique. But unfortunately… I already possess another bloodline…"

Leilin sighed. If he had the Phoenix bloodline, he would have attempted a bloodline conversion no matter how difficult. But the Son of the Sun bloodline? It was only sixth-level at best — not high enough to justify the risk.
