The departure of Leilin and his party caused no ripples within the Ouroboros Ring.
For warlocks, venturing out to travel, explore ruins, and seek adventure between periods of research was an entirely normal occurrence. And given the long lifespans of wizards, their absence for a few years would likely go unnoticed by anyone.
The twelve third-rank warlocks suppressed the terrifying radiation and energy fluctuations emanating from their bodies, disguised themselves as the mercenary parties and adventurers so commonly seen on the Central Continent, and quietly boarded an airship in a city not far from the Phosphorus Marsh.
Leilin stood on the deck, gazing at the prominent Feile family insignia emblazoned on the airship's hull, at a loss for words.
"As expected of the Sky Throne — a single one of its subordinate factions monopolizes airship transportation across the entire Central Continent!"
Inwardly, Leilin sighed with admiration, his longing undisguised.
"What are you looking at?"
A waft of perfume drifted past, and then Kasha walked over, leaning half against the railing with her beautiful figure on full display.
The warlock bloodline enhancement had made her skin even more delicate and refined, and combined with her slender eyes and the subtle curl of her cherry lips, she exuded an alluring, almost sinister charm that made several other passengers swallow hard, a faint fire kindling in their lower abdomens.
Leilin's eyes naturally swept over Kasha's body without the slightest courtesy, lingering a moment longer on certain private areas.
"Hehe!" Kasha giggled, unashamedly pushing out her chest. "The journey is quite boring — want to come play in my room?"
Leilin rolled his eyes. The tradition of debauchery among nobility was nothing new, and wizards who wielded immense power and enjoyed long lifespans were even worse in that regard.
Of course, warlocks were somewhat different. In order to obtain more excellent and pure bloodlines, the female warlocks were even more frenzied — and they certainly had the assets to seduce.
"Sorry! Not today. But the first time I decide to sell my life seeds, you'll be the first one I think of, senior sister!"
A smile played across Leilin's face.
"Fine! What a shame!" Kasha licked one of her fingers, showing not the slightest embarrassment at being seen through. "But I really do like you, junior!" She pressed a finger against Leilin's chest, smiling as her fingertip traced slow circles.
But that was as far as it went. Kasha made no further moves and instead struck up casual conversation with Leilin, showing perfect restraint.
"Do you know Fui and Miranta?" Kasha suddenly asked.
"We've met a few times!" Leilin's face twitched slightly, a trace of discomfort surfacing. He truly had no way to deal with those two lunatics — especially lunatics who wielded formidable power.
"Then did you know?" A mysterious smile crept onto Kasha's face, tinged with a girlish cunning. "They've already announced that you're their prey. Any female warlock who dares to make a move on you is making an enemy of them!"
"I..." Leilin's eyes nearly rolled out of his head, and he almost cursed aloud. "Those two lunatics!" he finally spat out, still bristling.
"Actually, won't you reconsider?" Kasha leaned forward until she was almost pressed against Leilin. "Miranta's skills are truly remarkable — she can make countless warlocks lose themselves in ecstasy. They call her the Soul-Sucking Enchantress. And as for Fui..." She whispered in his ear: "Fui has never been with a man. She might still be a virgin!"
The scent of her hair wafted continuously before Leilin's nose, and combined with Kasha's words, it made his mouth go dry.
"Well?" A triumphant smile bloomed on Kasha's face. "How about it? Want senior sister to help cool you down? My technique is no worse than Miranta's!" As she spoke, she extended her small pink tongue and lightly licked the edge of Leilin's ear.
"So, you know those two?"
Suddenly, Kasha felt the Leilin beside her go completely cold, as if he were a block of ice.
She raised her head in surprise and saw Leilin's expressionless face, his eyes crystalline and clear, devoid of even a trace of desire.
"Yes! I know them," Kasha said. "But Fui just asked me to pass along a message for them!"
Seeing Leilin in this state, Kasha instinctively stepped back several paces, no longer daring to approach with any flirtation.
"Please tell them I'll give it careful consideration," Leilin said calmly.
"Understood!" Kasha gave Leilin one more long look. "This state of yours... it seems you're completely unaffected by the emotions carried in your bloodline. Now I finally understand why Fui can't forget you. Such an exceptional bloodline is exactly what our Komoin warlock family desperately needs..."
Watching Kasha's retreating figure, Leilin rubbed his chin, a bitter smile forming at the corner of his mouth.
Even the Komoin warlock family would experience bloodline degradation. One only needed to look at how three Horar Black Snake warlocks had appeared in Kasha's family to know that her family's bloodline was likely facing the threat of deterioration.
