"I don't know which faction you're with, but I'll back off right away!"
A glint flickered in Xiling's eyes.
"No chance! If this were before the Joint Council, I might have considered it, but now…"
Guus shook his head. "And don't bother stalling for time! No Wizard who's been hit by my Mist Giant's self-detonation has ever survived. Even if that Leylin somehow managed to live through it, he probably can't even move right now…"
Her last flicker of hope had been called out. Xiling was now utterly, completely desperate.
"Go ahead, then!" She closed her beautiful eyes and lifted her fair neck.
"Where is Shuggley?" Guus asked one final question, a mass of terrifying, distorted energy already forming in his hand.
"I don't know — Leylin interrogated him personally!"
"Then you're of no use to me!"
Guus's expression was indifferent as the distortion left his hand and shot forward.
A black scaled shield materialized out of thin air in front of Xiling, blocking the explosive distortion.
When the smoke cleared, a Wizard in black robes was already standing in front of Xiling.
"Leylin!!!" Guus's pupils contracted as he uttered the name with undisguised wariness.
"So tell me — how would you all like to die?" A bright, sunny smile played at the corners of Leylin's mouth.
"Attack!!!"
Guus's face flushed crimson as he roared the command.
"Double! Remember — double!" The hawk-nosed old man beside him erupted with a torrent of elemental halos, which coalesced into a copper ring inscribed with mysterious runes across its surface.
Even as he cast his spell, he didn't forget to turn back and remind Guus.
Grey mist condensed in an instant, and the Grey Mist Giant from before materialized once more. But unlike last time, beams of light like starlight immediately shot from the bodies of every Wizard present, connecting to the giant and causing its aura to surge to terrifying levels.
The copper ring snapped around the giant's waist and constricted in an instant!
"ROAR!!!"
The giant roared, its lower body compressing further while the mist of its upper body condensed again, forming muscles as hard as granite.
"Combination spell!"
Xiling gasped from behind Leylin, her breath already beginning to grow labored.
"The opposing side has two peak Level One experts, plus over a dozen Elder Wizards — Leylin, he..."
Xiling's thoughts hadn't even finished forming before her mouth dropped open in a daze.
Silver!
A faint shimmer of silver! It appeared on Leylin's body in an instant!
In that single moment, the void itself seemed to freeze, and an overwhelming wave of oppressive pressure descended upon the scene!
"Solidified Spiritual Power! A Level Two Wizard!!!"
The hawk-nosed elder let out a shrill cry. Ignoring the blood still streaming from his mouth and nose, he forcibly retracted his spell and retreated as fast as he could, even braving the backlash of his own magic to escape immediately.
It was a pity! All of it was already too late!
A ribbon of silver light tore through the sky and arrived above the elder in an instant.
"No!" the elder roared. A small, tattered talisman around his neck shattered, and a massive burst of dark crimson flame erupted outward.
But in the very next moment, the elder stumbled, nearly falling to the ground.
He could clearly feel it — the peak elemental Spiritual Power that filled the flames had been instantly crushed under the assault of those silver, solidified spiritual particles.
And as the Spiritual Power he had been controlling scattered, the dark crimson flames lost their target and dispersed in all directions.
The silver Spiritual Power plunged downward directly, stretching and reshaping itself, until it formed a silver Cross Sword that pierced the elder clean through the chest!
Drip! Drop!
Drops of crimson blood fell ceaselessly to the ground. The elder's mouth hummed with faint sounds, but he could not summon a single energy particle.
The solidified Spiritual Power of a Level Two Wizard was far superior in quality to the Spiritual Power of elemental-stage Wizards. The Spiritual Power within the elder's sea of consciousness was simply no match for the silver Spiritual Power — it was shattered in a single blow and completely sealed away.
This principle was very similar to the scene on White Bone Mountain when Gegewu had sealed Leylin.
Now that his full power as a Level Two Warlock had been restored, even a peak Level One Wizard was nothing more than a slightly larger ant before Leylin!
"Him! Him! Him!"
This scene left the Wizards of the Misty Forest utterly at a loss.
A single strike — and the former peak Level One expert was now gravely wounded and on the verge of death! Such terrifying power was something they had only ever heard of in legends.
Gus's face went first pale with despair, then twisted into a savage grimace!
"ROAR ROAR!!!!" The enormous mist giant, under his control, hurtled toward Leylin with devastating force.
And in his hands, an ancient scroll was slowly unfurling, terrifying waves of energy radiating outward in all directions.
"Scorching Touch!" A trace of red powder was scattered, and two narrow energy beams shot instantly from Leylin's hands. Carrying the destructive power of a second-grade spell, the two beams burned two massive holes through the grey mist giant in an instant.
Boom!!! A massive amount of grey mist dispersed, and the Wizards who had been maintaining a connection with the giant collapsed to the ground one after another.
Leylin's figure flickered, and he instantly appeared before Gus.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
