Katia von Trackia

Katia is the eldest daughter of the Trackia Duke House — a lineage even more prestigious than the Frenbreeds — and Ermes's childhood friend. As children the two were close, both hailed as prodigies; and unlike Ermes, she awakened a Bloodline Magic befitting a duke's daughter.

When Ermes was branded 'Incompatible' and imprisoned, Katia alone kept treating him as before, sneaking down to his cell to encourage him and insisting she believed in his future. Their meetings ended only when she was pressed into an engagement with the Second Prince, Aster, and moved into the palace.

Years later she is derided as the 'Flawed Lady': she inherited a powerful, defense-oriented bloodline magic of phantom soldiers, yet cannot wield it properly, and the prince has cast her aside. Her reunion with the returned Ermes becomes the turning point that lets her finally master her gift.
