Description
The North Korea Field is a massive Gate and Dungeon complex that emerged within the territory of North Korea during the late arcs of Solo Leveling. As a newly discovered high-rank Gate, it quickly drew attention from both domestic and international Hunter communities due to its immense size and the powerful monsters dwelling within.
The dungeon is home to a diverse array of dangerous creatures, including Flame Eagles that soar the skies, Wind Blade Crows capable of slicing through steel, Spirits of Frost that freeze the terrain, elegant yet deadly High Elves, and ancient Forest entities. Their presence makes the field one of the most perilous locations in the series.
The location's position across the heavily fortified border lent it significant political weight. Entry was strictly regulated, requiring special clearance and cooperation between the Korean Hunters Association and local authorities. The field served as a stage for delicate international relations, with both opportunities and tensions arising from the need to clear the dungeon.
During the Second Retesting Arc and the dedicated North Korea Arc, several key figures undertook operations in the field. Notable participants included Choi Jong-In, the president of the Hunters Guild; Sung Suho, the son of the Shadow Monarch Sung Jin-Woo; as well as two other hunters, Sirka and Choi Hasul. Their involvement shaped the events inside the dungeon and highlighted the field's importance to the overall narrative.
