Chapter 934: Beheaded by a Single Sword!

January 17, 2020 · 7 min read · 1,395 words

Immortal Path Killer Move — Five-Wheel Annihilation Rotation!

The Five Elements Grand Mage roared, flipping both palms upward and thrusting them forward, launching a five-colored ring into the sky.

The ring spun as it shot upward, and from its core erupted a powerful suction force. Every killer move and wild beast drawn into it was instantly shredded.

The Heavenly Court's defensive line fell into chaos.

"Let's charge in!" The Southern Border Gu Immortals immediately seized the opportunity, urging the Eighth Transformation Immortal Gu House Taiyu Temple to squeeze through the gaps in the defensive line.

Heavenly Court member Yuzhuzi gritted his teeth, pointed at Taiyu Temple, and bellowed, "Go!"

Most of the jade beads floating around him shot out, striking Taiyu Temple and detonating one after another.

Boom, boom, boom...

The jade beads exploded with thunderous reports, scattering jade powder in all directions that clung to Taiyu Temple, slowing the Eighth Transformation Immortal Gu House several times over.

Seizing this chance, the Heavenly Court members rushed to reinforce the line, and after great effort, managed to force Taiyu Temple back out.

However, even as Taiyu Temple was pushed back, Wu Yong struck again from another direction.

Immortal Path Killer Move — Finger Wind Dragon.

Immortal Path Killer Move — Random Pluck Blades.

Wu Yong flicked his fingers in quick succession, pinging out several small dark-green insects. The insects flew through the air, their bodies rapidly expanding—one foot, five feet, ten feet, fifty feet, one hundred and fifty feet! In just a few breaths, they transformed into fierce wind dragons over seventy feet long, baring fangs and brandishing claws as they plunged into the Heavenly Court's defensive line.

Then, with a flash of green in Wu Yong's eyes, each wind dragon roared skyward and abruptly shattered into a torrent of emerald wind blades, shooting out in every direction.

The wind blades were razor-sharp, slicing through everything in their path. The Heavenly Court's main forces could only grit their teeth and hold firm, enduring the onslaught head-on.

Taking advantage of their distraction, Wu Yong twisted his body like a wisp of wind, about to slip through the defensive line.

"Don't even think about it!" A sharp cry rang out as petals scattered, and Wan Zihong blocked Wu Yong's path.

She had been keeping a close watch on the formidable Wu Yong, not daring to let her guard down for a single moment. The instant he made a move, she shifted to cover.

Wu Yong sighed and had to give up.

From within the Jade Clear Dripping Wind Small Bamboo Tower, the Southern Border Gu Immortal called out to Eastern Sea Gu Immortal Hua Caiyun nearby, "Hurry, charge in!"

It turned out that earlier, Wan Zihong had been fighting Hua Caiyun and Qing Yue'an. Now that Wan Zihong had shifted to cover, a gap had opened up, allowing Hua Caiyun and Qing Yue'an to insert themselves into the defensive line.

But Hua Caiyun and Qing Yue'an quickly exchanged a glance, and realizing neither had any intention of pushing through, both chose to hold their ground, showing no sign of advancing at all.

Though the will of the people had influenced the Eastern Sea immortals' judgment, there was a limit to its sway. By now, Hua Caiyun and Qing Yue'an were secretly kicking themselves. Why had they let their emotions carry them to the Heavenly Court for this decisive battle?

Wouldn't it have been perfectly fine, even pleasant, to keep scavenging for immortal materials in the Central Continent?

Why come here to fight and die?

Neither of them was foolish. Whoever was the first to break through the defensive line would certainly face a devastating counterattack from the Heavenly Court—one misstep, and they would perish body and soul.

It was precisely because she had seen through this that Wan Zihong boldly shifted to cover and blocked Wu Yong.

"The Eastern Sea Gu Immortals are all like this," Wan Zihong said, her eyes flashing with sharp light. She had a deep understanding of the Eastern Sea as well, and it was for this reason that she felt confident leaving her position to cover.

But the very next moment, Shi Miao suddenly cut in from the side and broke into the Heavenly Court's defensive line.

He, too, was an Eastern Sea Gu Immortal. The Heavenly Court's main forces were already stretched thin maintaining the defensive line, and in desperate moments, they would inevitably expose gaps to the Eastern Sea Gu Immortals. But the main forces never expected that Shi Miao had already been taken under the Dragon Palace's control, becoming a Dragon General—one who fought with utter disregard for his own life.

The Heavenly Court's main forces were caught off guard for just a heartbeat, and Shi Miao successfully broke through the defensive line, charging straight toward the Heaven Watching Tower. Just as he was about to break inside, a figure suddenly materialized before him.

"Don't even think about it!" Lord Dragon's voice rang in Shi Miao's ears.

Shi Miao had already raised his defenses—his entire body's skin had turned to stone, hard and impenetrable. But in the next instant, Lord Dragon's right hand thrust in viciously, seizing Shi Miao's neck in an iron grip.

Shi Miao immediately felt suffocated. A tremendous force surged from Lord Dragon's hand, causing the stone skin on his neck to crack with a sickening crunch.

"What incredible power!" Shi Miao was horrified. He struggled with all his might, but to no avail.

Just as he was about to be crushed to death by Lord Dragon, a streak of sword light suddenly hurtled toward them.

Lord Dragon dodged with all his might, but the sword light had anticipated this—it had calculated for exactly this—and still struck him in the waist and abdomen, piercing through him like a beam of light.

Lord Dragon was nearly cut in half at the waist. The wound in his abdomen was enormous, blood gushing like a waterfall, impossible to stanch.

And the sword light's momentum continued unabated, striking the Heaven Watching Tower. Fortunately, the tower had already activated its defensive measures—unlike before, when it was caught off guard and severed by Bo Qing's sword light—and its body flashed with white light, finally managing, barely, to block the attack.

"Fang Yuan!" Lord Dragon's gaze crackled with fury as he whipped his head toward the direction of the attack. There, in the form Fang Yuan had once again assumed, was the Ancient Sword Dragon.

The sword dragon's claws clenched into fists. That last strike had been the Five Finger Fist Heart Sword!

This killer move's power was terrifying. Lord Dragon would never stand by and let Fang Yuan attack at will. He immediately prepared to fling Shi Miao away and use the Dragon Gate to close in on Fang Yuan.

But just then, Shi Miao suddenly revealed an eerie smile. His entire body melted, rapidly spreading over Lord Dragon's body.

This sudden transformation caught Lord Dragon completely off guard—and Fang Yuan had already unleashed the Five Finger Fist Heart Sword once more.

The second sword. The third sword. The fourth sword.

Every beam of sword light struck Lord Dragon squarely, each one piercing clean through his body. Their remaining force struck the Heaven Watching Tower, making it tremble violently.

"Lord Dragon!!!" This shocking turn of events left all the Heavenly Court immortals pale with horror.

Lord Dragon had never expected that Shi Miao would willingly sacrifice his own life just to pin him down. When Fang Yuan's Five Finger Fist Heart Sword struck him, Shi Miao suffered alongside.

Lord Dragon now bore three grievous sword wounds, gruesome and terrible—but he still clung to a single breath of life.

Shi Miao, however, was dead beyond dead. His tattered body restored itself one final time as he fell with a smile to his death.

"Lord Dragon, your road ends here," Fang Yuan said softly. Then his dragon fingers released, and the fifth sword of the Five Finger Fist Heart Sword flew.

The sword light seemed as though it would pierce through space and time itself—so fast that no one could possibly intercept it.

The Heavenly Court immortals could only watch with eyes full of utter terror as the sword light shot toward Lord Dragon like lightning.

As death drew near, Lord Dragon's eyes went vacant, and he was suddenly plunged into a vortex of memories.
