"Hah!" Fang Yuan's true body called out softly, extending his right hand. His five fingers gently grasped toward the Boundless Qi Sea before him.
Instantly, a stream of tangerine-orange qi shot forth from within the Boundless Qi Sea.
This qi current was quite extraordinary—gleaming brilliantly, it sliced through the sky and trailed a long tail behind it, while its tip was naturally wreathed in the auspicious shape of clouds.
This was Fortune Qi.
A type of immortal material.
The Boundless Qi Sea Killing Move encompassed all manner of qi streams, and Fortune Qi was among the rarer ones. Even across the Five Regions and Two Heavens, qi of this scale was exceedingly difficult to encounter. If a Gu Immortal happened upon it, it was universally acknowledged as a stroke of great fortune.

This Killing Move was Qi Xiang's greatest trump card. Somewhat similar to Fang Yuan's Desolate Soul Imprint and Reverse Flow Shield Imprint, the Boundless Qi Sea Killing Move also made use of immortal materials—namely, various types of qi.
The greater the volume and variety of stored qi, the more powerful the Killing Move became. Of course, activating it would consume both immortal essence and the stored qi. Even if left unused, these qi streams would gradually dissipate over time through natural erosion.
Therefore, the Boundless Qi Sea Killing Move that Fang Yuan had faced in battle was far from its peak state.
This was already the fifth day.
Ever since his successful raid on the Qi Sea Blessed Land, he had remained here to recuperate. Two days ago, he had finished tallying all his gains and planted slave contracts on the three Gu Immortals of the Qi Family—Qi Fa, Qi Cai, and Qi Pingsu. Some of the resources that could be relocated to his Sovereign Immortal Aperture, he had ordered Ying Wu Xie and the others to handle. As for himself, he focused primarily on the Boundless Qi Sea Killing Move.
This Killing Move belonged to the Qi Path, and for Fang Yuan it was completely impractical to use as-is. Rather, by disassembling it, the massive volume of qi streams he could obtain represented an enormous windfall. More crucially, only by dismantling the Killing Move could Fang Yuan do anything with the Gu within it. If he rashly tried to refine these Gu directly, it would very likely trigger a violent backlash from the Killing Move—after all, it was an integrated whole, far from ordinary.
"At the current pace, completely extracting all this qi will take another three days."

The Mortal Gu that formed the Boundless Qi Sea Killing Move were numerous indeed, but Fang Yuan cared little for any of them.
His primary attention was focused on the Immortal Gu.
The Immortal Gu comprising this move numbered as many as six, but only one was an Eighth Transformation Immortal Gu—Grand Qi—which served as the core of the Killing Move.
The rest were Seventh and Sixth Transformation Gu. Among these, the one that drew Fang Yuan's attention most was a Seventh Transformation Immortal Gu named Great House Qi.
This Qi Path Gu could store all manner of qi—including tribulation qi!
That last point was critically important.
Fang Yuan had previously used many Lesser House Qi Gu to store tribulation qi, helping himself through tribulations. As an Immortal Gu, Great House Qi's capabilities in this regard were far more formidable.
"With this Immortal Gu, I'll be able to store and release tribulation qi. This gives me yet another excellent means of surviving tribulations."
"If the tribulation is powerful, I'll use this Gu to absorb the tribulation qi, weakening its force. If the tribulation is weak, I'll release tribulation qi to increase the total Dao Marks I ultimately harvest."

When the Sovereign Immortal Aperture needs it, I can release it there—saving me from having to descend into my aperture and absorb Heaven and Earth dual qi each time just to stabilize the Sovereign Blessed Land."
Every situation called for its own analysis.
It was not necessarily true that the higher a Gu's Transformation level, the more helpful it was to a Gu Immortal. In Fang Yuan's case, the Seventh Transformation Great House Qi Immortal Gu was far more useful to him than the Eighth Transformation Grand Qi Gu.
Refining these Qi Path Immortal Gu would also require some of Fang Yuan's time and effort.
But there was no real difficulty involved.
Fang Yuan possessed the realm of Quasi-Supreme Grandmaster in the Refinement Path, the realm of Grandmaster in the Theft Path, and had at his disposal all manner of methods including the Grand Thief Ghost Hand.
As Fang Yuan had anticipated, a few days later he had extracted every last wisp of qi. These qi streams each had their own particular storage requirements, and since Fang Yuan could not accommodate them all, he kept some while selling the rest directly in the Treasure Yellow Heaven.
Not only these qi streams, but resources from the Wuxiang Public Blessed Land and the Qi Sea Blessed Land were also being gradually sold off by Fang Yuan, exchanged for resources useful to him.
