Wi Chang

Wi Chang is the deputy head of the Hao Gate's Sichuan branch, dealers in secret information. Quick to conclusions and bold of tongue, he shadows his quarry in person disguised as a merchant. It is he who first brings the branch word of a man who can soothe heart demons, and later, under the name Joo Hyeol, befriends Han Seojin in a Chengdu tavern, becoming his chief supplier of intelligence.

Investigating the massacre in Namreung ravine on Mount Emei, Wi Chang spreads his men through the village and gathers rumours, but on seeing the clash of Tang Soran and Cheongwol he changes his plan. Returning, he stuns his chief Jin Gon with news of a healer of heart demons. Later he strikes up an acquaintance with Han Seojin under a false name and becomes his behind-the-scenes partner in gathering intelligence.
