Description
Heretic magic (itan maho) is the fourth, forbidden magic system, establishing a connection with demon-gods and the other world of Val-Nostia. Its power grows through sacrifice, and it 'infects' through hatred, anger, and grief. The Zairant theocracy deems it absolute evil and declares Holy War to combat it.
It was by heretic magic that Roynas Volm summoned the demon-god Biblos in Bertea, and Laura's silver bracelet (a heretical relic) became the vessel for the demon-god Morrigan.
Reina carried from birth the slumbering heretic power of the demon-god Morrigan, passed down through her mother's bracelet, and is therefore immune to miasma. Her love for Varis proved stronger than the 'call of vengeance,' and she was saved.
