Nike (Phoenix)

Nike, formerly named Chirpy, is the son of the Phoenix and Cha Yeon-woo's pet. Yeon-woo had rescued him as a stolen egg and returned him to the Phoenix; when the Phoenix and Chirpy's siblings were slain by the Saber God, Yeon-woo saved the sealed chick, who vowed revenge. As the child of one of the Four Mythical Beasts he holds immense power, further grown after he absorbed the souls and energy of the Sabertooth Tiger.

Initially cheerful and playful, he develops a ruthless streak under Yeon-woo's 'evil'-aligned influence while retaining a child's emotions and a love of sweets. Intelligent beyond his year, he begged for a better name; Yeon-woo renamed him Nike, after the Greek goddess of victory, hoping her divine authority would empower him. He wields the Phoenix's Flames of Life and serves as Yeon-woo's ideal scout, able to grow or shrink at will.
