Dokgo Jinmuk is one of the six who shake the Central Plains in the name of the Min Cult, the band that operates alongside Yeongcheon. His craft is grim necromancy: he raises corpses, sews them into jiangshi, and interrogates the dead. It is he who twice approaches Cheongwol with temptation, having seen through the pious nun to her hidden butcher's nature and promising to fulfil any of her repressed desires.
Dokgo Jinmuk is smooth and mocking: he does not threaten but seduces, playing on the hidden desires of the one before him. With cold derision he mimics the whisper of the jiangshi he has raised and holds forth on freedom for the strong who are tired of losing to the weak. Behind the mask of a sympathetic tempter hides a merciless dealer in death.
After a massacre of several heterodox factions near Sichuan, Dokgo Jinmuk retrieves the victims' corpses, sews them into jiangshi, and wrings from them the killer's name, Cheongwol. He comes to her with an offer to join the band of renegades, and later climbs to Yeongcheon's pavilion to have things out with him, sneering at the growing Hyeonhwa Cult.
