Hugo

Hugo Baint von Renxandt, formerly Natsume Kengo, is one of the reincarnated students and the main antagonist of the prolepsis. In his past life he was the charismatic, egotistical "king" of the class, kept in check by his friend Issei.

Reborn as crown prince of the militaristic Renxandt Empire, he expected to reclaim his former status, but grew warped and hateful when the prodigy Schlain overshadowed him. After abusing his power he was stripped of it by Schlain and Filimøs, which only fueled his vow of vengeance.

Consumed by envy, he becomes a ruthless antagonist. Following the deaths of the former Hero and Saint, he is installed as the new Hero, with the reincarnation Yuri as his Saint.
