Koharyi

Koharyi is the young daughter of a merchant house in Nanbonan whose property is confiscated along with her father's business after the city falls. She has straight silver hair, rare in these parts, and eyes red as poured wine; she has nearly come of age, but her huge eyes and helplessness betray a pampered, sheltered childhood.

Wilk takes Koharyi right in the emptied, confiscated mansion, where not even furniture remains, making use of the surviving stone bath in the inner courtyard. Afterward he gives the brother and sister plain clothes and money from his own purse, unwilling to appropriate confiscated goods, and holds a cynical conversation with Koharyi about the "market price" of her innocence.
