Hong Yaowu

Hong Yaowu is a small mountain village of only about fifty people, its name meaning "Medicine Warehouse." It is the settlement closest to Jin's farm and the local hub of community life and healing in the region.

It is the home of the Hong family and the birthplace of Meiling, who grew up here learning the healer's craft before marrying Jin. Through her, the village and the farm become closely tied.

As Fa Ram flourishes, the once-sleepy village is gradually drawn into its orbit, its fortunes and safety increasingly bound up with those of its extraordinary neighbour.
