Raivel

Raivel is Reina's father and Marquess of House Agleia, into which he was adopted from a cadet branch of the family. Formerly he was commander of the royal guard and a friend of King Ars.

He married the frail Laura—Ars's former fiancee—out of compassion and genuine love. Raivel openly warned that he would 'raise his bow against the kingdom' if Ars's son Varis ever made his daughter Reina cry—so fierce was his fatherly love.

After the war Raivel became governor-general of liberated Bertea. In the course of events he learned the true feelings of the late Laura and made peace with his past, finding inner peace.
