House Everett

House Everett is a comital house whose lands lay on Alveria's western frontier. It was founded by Lorel, a former royal guard knight: about a century ago he served as an envoy to Silva-Haruna, where he did not abduct but saved the elven priestess Silfaria, sealing away Amon's power and rescuing the entire nation. Having fallen in love with her, Lorel brought their child to Alveria and established the house on the western border.

Its current head is Count Klaus, a diligent frontier noble and grandson of Lorel. It was he who uncovered the first thread of the family secret - the total absence of any records of his grandfather's wife - and handed Varis the family archive, including Lorel's green diary with its trap-seal. His daughter Feril, Reina's 'little sister' and ward, turns out to be the bearer of the spirit Amon and the author of the very novel about the 'villainess.' Later the family lands are confiscated to the treasury, and the house itself is relocated to the capital.
