Mo Yao was a refinement-path Gu Immortal of the Central Continent from ten thousand years ago, the 36th-generation fairy of the Spirit Affinity House, with further attainments in the soul and wisdom paths. A rare member of the Inkmen, she was a celebrated expert of her age.
Using the rank 9 Love Gu, she reformed Bo Qing, a fearsome demonic figure, and married him, loving him deeply. When he was gravely wounded attempting to ascend to rank 9, she betrayed the Spirit Affinity House and stole its treasured Gu House, the Water Pavilion, infiltrating the Imperial Court Blessed Land to find a way to save him.
Her infiltration left behind clues and inheritances — including the trap-laden recipe for the Calamity Beckoning Gu — that would ripple through history, even freeing the core of Giant Sun's Luck Path legacy that later reached Ma Hong Yun. Returning to Bo Qing's side, she died together with him in his failed tribulation, her attempt to steer the catastrophe away from him undone.
