Chris Fia Arclight is heir to House Arclight, a swordsmanship family with a centuries-old tradition. Bespectacled, ramrod-straight and unfailingly correct, he is the otome game's stoic-knight route — the one a heroine picks if she wants speeches about honour and a finely sharpened blade.
He is the most genuinely well-meaning of the five idiots, which is precisely why Marie's flattery destroys him so cleanly: he convinces himself that protecting her is the highest form of his code, and signs onto the staged denouncement of Angelica without ever questioning the evidence. Leon beats him alongside the others in front of the entire court.
Stripped of his swordsman's commission, Chris spends the back half of the series doing labour and quietly hating himself. He is the first of the five idiots to genuinely understand that he was had, and one of the few to take his disgrace as a lesson rather than an injustice.
