The Haunted House is the story's central setting, which Chen Ge inherited from his parents after they disappeared. The Black Phone once dubbed it the 'Castle of Nightmares'. The attraction sits within New Century Park in Western Jiujiang.
Through the Black Phone's system the Haunted House is repeatedly expanded, passing through tiers such as the 'Maze of Terror' and the 'Theme Park of Despair', with rising limits on the specters and staff it can hold and the addition of special constructs.
Among its unique constructs are the Midnight Ticket Counter, which has a tiny chance of drawing special 'visitors' who may become allies, and the Ghost's Changing Room, which hands guests the costumes of victims for total immersion in dread. It is also home to Chen Ge's specters, staffed by Xu Wan and others, and the residence of the cat White Tiger.
